Project goals
The objective was to build a mobile-first marketplace that enables Canadians to rent and lend high-value outdoor gear within their local communities. Uway designed and developed a scalable platform that allows users to browse listings, manage rentals, communicate with counterparties, and complete transactions efficiently. The solution was created to unlock new earning opportunities for lenders while providing renters with affordable access to premium equipment whenever they need it.

What we solved
Launching a peer-to-peer rental marketplace requires more than listing products online. The platform needed to solve critical challenges around trust, user verification, inventory visibility, rental coordination, and payment management while creating enough value for both renters and lenders. Without a seamless experience, users would be reluctant to share expensive outdoor gear and specialized equipment with strangers.
